Description
Located in southern Kentucky along the boundary with Tennessee, 16 km (10 mi) east of Hopkinsville; County Seat: Elkton.
History
Established in 1819, named for colonel John Todd (1750-1782) who was killed in the Battle of Blue Licks when he fought in General George Rogers Clark's campaings in Illinois. (KY-T1/p295)
