Located in south central Kentucky, about 80 km (50 mi) southwest of Lexington; County Seat: Campbellsville.
History
Established in 1848, named for Zachary Taylor (1784-1850), who gallantly served in the Mexican War and who later served as the 12th President of the United States from 1849 to 1850. (KY-T1/p290)
