Description
Located in northestern Kentucky, 48 km (30 mi) northeast of Lexington; County Seat: Carlisle.
History
Established in 1799, named for George Nicholas (1743-1799), a Revolutionary War officer considered teh "Father of the Kentucky Constitution" for his role in drafting the constitution. (KY-T1/p214)
