Description
Located in central Kentucky, about 48 km (30 mi) south-southeast of Louisville; County Seat: Bardstown.
History
Established in 1784 by the Virginia State Legislature; named for Thomas Nelson (1738-1789), former Governor of Virginia adn signer of the Declaration of Independence. (KY-T1/p210)
