Description
Located in southwestern Kentucky, 40 km (25 mi) northeast of Hopkinsville; County Seat: Greenville.
History
Established in 1798, named for General Peter Muhlenberg (1746-1807), a minister who later became an officer in the Revolutionary War. After the war he served in the US Congress and Senate. (KY-T1/p207)
