Description
Heads 1.9 km (1.2 mi) east of the east end of Turkey Heaven Ridge, trends generally northeast to enter the valley through which flows French Creek, 8 km (5 mi) west-northwest of Brandenburg.

Named for a historical natural gas well located nearby.
