Located in southeastern Kentucky, about 129 km (80 mi) southeast of Lexington; County Seat: Hyden.

History

Established in 1878, named for Kentucky Governor Preston H Leslie (1819-1907) who served from 1871 to 1875 and who later served as Governor of the Montana Territiry from 1887 to 1889. (KY-T1/p170)
