Description
Located in north-central Kentucky along the Ohio River and the boundary with Indiana; County Seat: Louisville.
History
Established in 1780 and named for Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), Virginia's Governor at the time the county was formed. Jefferson served as 3rd President of the United States from 1801-1809. (KY-T1/p152)
