Located in western Kentucky along the Ohio River, 32 km (20 mi) west of Owensboro; County Seat: Henderson.
History
Established in 1798, named for Colonel Richard Henderson, who was important in the land purchase and establishment of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. (KY-T1/p137/138)
