Description
Located in west central Kentucky, 48 km (30 mi) north of Bowling Green; County Seat: Leitchfield.
History
Established in 1810, named for Colonel William Grayson (1740-1790), who served General George Washington during the Revolutionary War; later he served in the Virginia General Assembly and the Continental Congress. (KY-T1/p124)
