Description
Located in north central Kentucky, a small portion of the county is located along the Ohio River and the boundary with Indiana. The County is located about 32 km (20 mi) south of downtown Louisville; County Seat: Shepherdsville.
History
Established in 1796, named for Alexander Scott Bullitt (1762-1816), Kentucky Statesman who helped write the first Constitution for Kentucky in 1791. He served in the Kentucky State Senate and later as Lieutenant Governor from 1800 to 1804. (KY-T1/p40)
