Description
1.7 mi. long; heads 1.2 mi. NW of Francisville, flows N then NE through North Bend Bottom to enter the Ohio River.
History
Originally named Bushes Creek for John Bush, Justice of the Peace, ferry operator, and Boone County sheriff in 1806. The name appeared on deeds from 1796 to 1920. Later named Loders Creek for Julian Loder (d.1893), a local landowner. Renamed by the BGN in 2017 for Dr. Richard Henry Crisler (1848-1934), who dramatically improved the stream’s surroundings.
