Description
Heads at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers at the City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and flows generally west-southwest to join the Mississippi River, approximately 6.4 km (4 mi) southeast of Cairo, Illinois. Lowest elevation in Ohio at 139 m (455 ft) near Hamilton, Ohio. Lowest elevation in Indiana at 98 m (320 ft) near Posey, Indiana.
