Description

This glacial kame rises roughly 75 feet above the surrounding prairie to an elevation of 880 feet. It has 2 humps that resemble those of a camel, hence the feature's name.

History

The name is a reference to the shape of the hill, which resembles a camel's back. It is in local use and has been referenced by hiking organizations and the McHenry County Conservation District (see links below).
