History
A proposal to change the name East Fork Galena river to East Fork Fever River was initiated by U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN) staff in May 1993. The proposal was rejected by the USBGN on September 8, 1994, and it was decided that the name East Fork Galena River would be retained.
