Description
83 miles long. Heads at the confluence of North Fork Payette River and South Fork Payette River, 0.8 km (0.5 mi) northeast of the community of Banks, flows south and west to enter the Snake River at Payette.
History
Named for Francois Payette, fur trader with the North West Company.
