Located in Saint Joe NF between Christianson Meadows and Elk Creek Reservoir, E of the community of Elk River.
History
Named for Axel Alfred Anderson (1886-1981) also known as "The Big Swede" who was a pioneer of the Elk River community and served as its Mayor and County Commissioner in the 1920s and 1930s.
