Description
Heads in a small unnamed lake, 0.5 km (0.3 mi) west of Vernon Lake, flows east then north through Edna Lake and Virginia Lake, then northwest 32 km (20 mi), then generally west to its confluence with North Fork Payette River, 0.8 km (0.5 mi) northeast of the community of Banks; within the Sawtooth Wilderness.
History
Named for Francois Payette, fur trader with the North West Company.
