Description
Located in southwestern Georgia along the boundary with Alabama, 68 km (42 mi) west southwest of Albany; County Seat: Blakely.
History
Established 15 December 1818, as an original county. Named in honor of Congressman and Georgia Governor Peter Early (1773-1817). (GA-T21/p68)
