Description
Located in the northwest corner of Georgia along the boundaries of Tennessee and Alabama, 154 km (96 mi) northwest of Atlanta; County Seat: Trenton.
History
Established 25 December 1837; named for Major Francis Langhorne Dade (1893-1835), of Virginia who died in a battle with the Seminole Indians. (GA-T21/p59)
