Description
Located in southeastern Georgia, 39 km (24 mi) east of Savannah; County Seat: Pembroke.
History
Established on 19 December 1793 from Chatham County; named in honor of Jonathan Bryan (1708-1788), statesman and politician who along with General James Oglethorpe, helped to establish the Geogia Colony at Savannah. (GA-T21/p27)
