Description
Located within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, along White Bank, just west of Key Largo Dry Rocks, and 6.4 km (4 mi) southeast of Rattlesnake Key.
History
Named for Captain Roy J Gaensslen (1924-1997), who made lifelong contributions to the understanding and protection of the Florida keys marine environment.
