25.3 miles long. Heads in MA at the junction of Bartons and Town Meadow Brooks in Greenville Pond at, flows south into CT, to the Quinebaug River 2.4 km (1.5 mi) north of Putnam, CT; Towns of Leicester, Oxford, Dudley, and Webster, MA and Thompson, CT.
History
Named for a French-Protestant settlement in the Town of Oxford (MGB 1932).
