In the San Juan NF, in the Needle Mountains just NW of Chicago Basin and about 1.5 mi WSW of Sunlight Peak.
History
Named Aeolus (God of Winds) by the Hayden Survey in 1874, presumably because "...there seemed to be somewhere in their [Needle Mts] midst a regular 'manufactory of storms'."
