Description
Located 4.8 km (3 mi) SW of Canon City, near the head of Royal Gorge, at the confluence of Grape Creek and the Arkansas River.
History
A proposal to change the name Y M C A Mountain to Lands Peak was submitted in August 1995. In May 2000, the proposal was rejected by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN).
