In Sequoia National Park, highest elevation on Silliman Crest, 0.8 km (0.5 mi) northeast of Silliman Lake and 1.1 km (0.7 mi) west of Crescent Lake. (US-T121)
History
Named for Professor Benjamin Silliman (1779-1864), chemist, geologist and physicist at Yale University. In 1802 he was appointed first professor of chemistry and natural history where he served until 1853. (US-T121)
