Description
In Sequoia National Park, on the southeast slope of Ash Peaks Ridge and 2.1 km (1.3 mi) west-southwest of Cactus Point. (US-T121)
History
Named for Walter Fry, who after counting 2000 rings on a Redwood stump entered the first protest against cutting down any more of the giant red wood trees. Held the positions of ranger, chief ranger, and Superintendent of Sequoia National Park and General Grant National Park. In 1920 was United States Commissioner and Natural History Ranger. (US-T121)
