Description
In Sequoia National Park, heads on the south slope of Alta Peak just north of Mehrten Meadow and flows south along the east slope of Sevenmile Hill to Middle Fork Kaweah River near mile marker 65.8. (US-T121)
History
1928 Board on Geographic Names (BGN) Decision misspelled as "Merten". The feature was named after James Mehrten (1815-1893), an early settler and cattleman of Three Rivers.
