Located 14.5 km (9 mi) west of Redding. (US-T121) 3458 acres in size.

History

Created as part of the Trinity River Division of the Central Valley Project in December 1963; designed to divert water from the Trinity River basin to the Sacramento River. Named for the village of Whiskeytown which was inundated by the creation of the reservoir. (US-T121)
