Description
Located between the San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands on the north side of the San Miguel Passage in the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
History
On December 23, 2022 H.R. 1776, the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 was approved as Public Law 117-263. Section 5946 of Public Law 117-263 designates a reef located in the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary as Brennan Reef in honor of the late Rear Admiral Richard T. Brennan of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
