Description
Located in sec 3,T17S,R7E, Mount Diablo Meridian. Descriptively named for the distinctive spires and crags that rise up from the surrounding smooth, round hills. The feature called High Peaks is located within Pinnacle Rocks in the Gabilan Range, 4.8 km (3.2 mi) N of North Chalone Peak.
History
These rocks are part of the remains of an ancient volcano.
