Located in sec 14,T6S,R5W, San Bernardino Meridian. Formed by the junction of Stinson Canyon and Edwards Canyon, trends northeast for 0.5 mile to Lake Elainore. (US-T121)

Named for Durward F Slater, (1928-1959), of the United States Forest Service, who lost his life in the Decker Fire of August 1959. (US-T1221)
