Description
In Joshua Tree National Monument, in Lost Palms Canyon, on the southeast slope of the Eagle Mountains, 6.4 km (4 mi) northwest of the community of Chiriaco Summit. (US-T121)
History
A proposal to change the name Lost Palms Oasis to Chiriaco Lost Palms Oasis was submitted in April 2001. In May 2004, the proposal was rejected by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN).
