Highest elevation is Mount Ingalls, ridge extends northwest for 26 miles from the community of Beckwourth to the Genessee Valley; bound on the north by Red Clover and Crocker Creeks, and on the south by Little Grizzly Creek and Big Grizzly Creek; [northwest end]400200N1204100W, (southeast end)394925N1202240W.

History

Named for Henry Ward Turner (1857-1937), who as a geologist with the United States Geological Survey from 1882-1901, did the initial geological studies of this area. (US-T121)
