Description

In the Sierra Nevada, bound on the north by Convick Lake, 1.3 km (0.8 mi) north-northeast of Mount Morrison and 10 km (6.2 mi) southeast of Casa Diablo Hot Springs. (US-T121)

History

Named for Mono Jim, a Paiute guide, who along with Robert Morrison, was killed near Convict Lake in 1871 during a gun fight with escaped convicts from Nevada State Penitentiary. (US-T121)
