Description
In the Tehachapi Mountains, 12.9 km (8 mi) south-southwest of Tehachapi.
History
Named for John D Covington (1867-1949), who settled in the Antelope Valley area in 1869 and homesteaded and mined in the Tehachapi Mountains.
