Description
Located 2 km (1.2 mi) south-southeast of Mount Whitney, 0.4 km (0.2 mi) north-northwest of Mount McAdie; 0.2 km (0.1 mi) east-southeast of Whitney Pass; in John Muir Wilderness. (US-T121)
History
Named for Gustave F Marsh (1869-1946), under whose leadership the projects to build a trail to the top of Mount Whitney and to construct a shelter on its summit were completed in 1904 and 1909, respectively. (US-T121)
