Description
Located in the Coso Range, 18.5 km (11.5 mi) southwest of Darwin.
History
A proposal to change the name Summer Spring to Wild Horse Spring was submitted by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) NMD in November 1982. The U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN) rejected the proposal based on the recommendations of the California Board which cited the lack of local support.
