Description
In the Pacific Ocean, 8 km (5 mi) west-northwest of Mussel Point and 11.2 km (7 mi) northwest of Orick. This portion of the Pacific Ocean is not mapped by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), please see NOAA chart #18600. (US-T121)
History
Named for Major Pierson Barton Reading, who made a landing here in 1849 while exploring the coast seeking the bay into which the Trinity and Klamath Rivers emptied. (US-T121)
