Named by Public Law No. 115-109, Jan. 10, 2018, in commemoration of Staff Sgt. Sky Mote, U.S. Marine Corps, who died in Afghanistan Aug. 10, 2012, and who was the recipient of the Navy Cross, a Purple Heart, the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal, a Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal, two Combat Action Ribbons and three Good Conduct Medals.
