Description
In the Sierra Nevada, located at the east end of Kaiser Ridge, 3.7 km (2.3 mi) southeast of Mount Givens and 13.7 km (8.5 mi) east of Lakeshore. (US-T121)
History
Named for Dr. Ian Campbell (1899-1978), Chief of the California Division of Mines and Geology, State Geologist, and the first Chairman of the California Advisory Committee on Geographic Names. Dr. Campbell preformed geologic investigations on the peak and the surrounding area. (US-T121)
