In Kings Canyon National Park 1.3 km (0.8 mi) southwest of Langille Peak. (US-T121)

History

Named for Clinton Hester and his son, Robert M Hester. The son was a pilot of a B-24 bomber which crashed here in 1943 and was discovered in 1960 by a party of geologists and a National Park Service ranger. The father spent over 14 years until his death in 1959, searching for the body of his son. (US-T121)
