Trends northeast 3 miles to its junction with Jersey Canyon, 14.5 km (9 mi) southwest of Heber.
History
The name reportedly originated from the hanging of James Scott, James W Stott, and Billy Wilson by vigilanties on 4 August 1888. They were hanged and buried at the head of this feature. (Account taken from USGS field report)
