Description
Located on the S end of Second Mesa, 1 km (0.6 mi) N of the community of Shungopavi.
History
The name "Suviva" comes from a plant (suuvi) that bears a sour berry (suvipsi), and a spring (va); the plant is called Sumac in English; the Hopi people use the berry to make a drink similar to lemonade sour berry (suvipsi), and a spring (va); the plant is called Sumac in English.
