History
Named for Edwin Dinwiddie McKee (1906-1984), Chief Park Naturalist at Grand Canyon for 11 years, Professor of Geology at the University of Arizona, and geologist with the U.S.Geological Survey from 1953 until 1977, who published many monographs on the geology of the Grand Canyon area.
