Description
The stream flows through Bright Angel Canyon to the Colorado River (US-T101).
History
So named by John Wesley Powell in 1869 at a lecture in Detroit (to contrast it with Devil River in Utah). He had called the stream earlier 'Silver Creek' because of its clarity (AZ-T101).
