Description
Heads in Canyon de Chelly National Monument at the junction of Canyon de Chelly and Canyon del Muerto, trends NW to join Laguna Creek, forming Chinle Creek 11.3 km (7 mi) NE of Dennehosto (US-T121).
History
The name is derived from the Navajo Indian word ch'inili meaning 'where the waters came out'.
