Tinayguk River is located flows W and SE 44 mi. to North Fork Koyukuk River, 3 mi. S of Eroded Mtn. and 27 mi. NW of Wiseman; Brooks Range
History
in 1930 Rovert Marshall recommended "tinayguk," the Eskimo word for moose, for the name of this stream because of the abundance of these animals in the area. limited local use of the name "West Fork," a term he felt was already too commonly used.
