Description
Seventeenmile Slough is located anabranch of Yukon River, flows NW 9 mi. SE of Fort Yukon, Yukon Flats.
History
Local name obtained in 1956 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); so called because the upper end of the anabranch is 17 miles up the Yukon River from Fort Yukon.
