Indian name reported about 1901 as "Rodokakat" by Father Julius Jette of Nulato. Father Jette used the letter "R" for the "Kh" sound. The name obviously is the same as that of the Khotol River. "Khodokakat" means "mouth of the Khodo (or Khotol)."
